Das Volumen der im Material vorhandenen Poren wird durch ein Standardvergleichsverfahren ermittelt. Letzteres unterteilt den Umfang der Abmessungen und die Verteilung der Poren in mehrere Kategorien: Eine Pore unter 10 Mikrometer wird als Prorosit\u00e4t \u201eA\u201c bezeichnet, eine Pore von 10\u201325 Mikrometer wird als Porosit\u00e4t \u201eB\u201c bezeichnet, Poren mit gr\u00f6\u00dferen Abmessungen sollen gemessen werden und separat klassifiziert.
